ANXIETY AND OCD THERAPY FOR WOMEN

Your anxiety has been setting the ceiling. Let's change that.

A thoughtful, personalized approach to therapy and self-understanding for women.

You've been living by a script you didn't write for long enough. The overthinking, the spiral, the version of yourself you've been performing. That's not who you are. It's a loop. And loops can be broken.

A space for women who are unlearning the anxious stories they built to survive and figuring out who they actually are without them.

SOUND FAMILIAR?

You're not struggling because something is wrong with you.

You've read the books, tried the journaling, maybe even attended therapy before. And you still find yourself overthinking every decision, shrinking in rooms you should own, or living by a script that doesn't quite feel like yours anymore.

Maybe it's OCD thoughts you've been white-knuckling for years. Maybe it's the perfectionism that got you here, but is now keeping you stuck. Maybe you've been struggling for a long time without a name for it, and you're only now starting to understand what's actually been going on. Maybe you're in the middle of a transition and you're realizing the version of you that got through everything before isn't who you want to be going forward.

You need someone who gets exactly what's going on and knows how to move through it.

THE WORK

This is therapy with a point of view.

I use ERP, exposure and response prevention, one of the most effective treatments for OCD that exists, alongside ACT, acceptance and commitment therapy, which helps you change your relationship to anxious thoughts rather than fighting them. ERP interrupts what you do in response to anxiety. ACT makes those anxious thoughts background noise rather than something you have to act on. Together they don't just reduce symptoms. They change your relationship to your anxiety entirely.

In practice, we will map your specific anxiety loop, where it came from, what keeps it going, and what's been making it louder. Then we get to work. Building the skills to sit with uncertainty, trust yourself, and start making decisions based on what actually matters to you instead of what your anxiety is telling you to avoid.

On the other side of this work is a version of you who takes up space. Who knows herself. Who can feel anxious and still show up for her life.

That's not anxiety management. That's a different life.

WHO I WORK WITH

If this resonates with you, you are who I built this practice for.

You're a high-achieving woman who suspects the anxiety isn't random. It's tied to not trusting yourself and to a version of yourself you outgrew a long time ago.

You've been struggling for years, possibly with OCD that was never properly diagnosed or treated, and you're ready for care that's actually calibrated to what's going on.

You've been in therapy before and want something more specific, more skilled, and more direct.

You're navigating OCD, panic, perfectionism, phobias, or anxiety that shows up as overthinking, people pleasing, or never feeling like enough.

You're in a transition, a new chapter, a new question of who you are now, and you want to figure it out with someone genuinely in your corner.

You want expert, specialized care that meets you where you are. All sessions are virtual, from wherever you actually feel like yourself.

You're ready to do the work. You just need the right person to do it with.

Who I am

Dr. Lauren Weathers, PhD

I'm a clinical psychologist based in New York City. I specialize in anxiety and OCD, and I've spent years in specialized training to do this work well, including a specialized OCD postdoctoral fellowship and BTTI certification, the Behavior Therapy Training Institute training offered through the International OCD Foundation.

I work with a small caseload intentionally. You get my full attention, my pattern recognition, and someone who'll remember exactly what you said three sessions ago and connect it to what you're saying today. I moved to New York because I do this work too. I know what it takes to stop letting anxiety make your decisions.

I work with women in individual therapy and through my intensive program for those who want to make significant progress in a concentrated period of time.

I'm not here to tell you what to think. I'm here to help you figure out what's actually yours.
