My Approach

Therapy should be a space where you feel seen, heard, and understood. I value compassion, growth, and authenticity in the therapeutic process, and I am committed to providing culturally competent care that respects individuals from all backgrounds. I aim to create a space free from judgment where you can feel safe accomplishing your therapy goals.

I also believe in the power of human connection. These connections are vital to leading a fulfilling life, whether it is the joy of shared laughter, the bond created through difficult conversations, or the meaning found in small moments. In my work, I aim to help you rediscover joy and creativity, even in the midst of life’s challenges.

Me as a Person

Outside of work, I enjoy listening to music, exploring new restaurants and coffee shops, traveling, and walking in nature. I believe in balancing work with valued activities that bring joy and fulfillment, and I strive to bring that same sense of balance into my work with clients.

Education and Training

I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Mississippi and completed a pre-doctoral internship at the Central Texas Veterans Healthcare System. I pursued a specialized OCD postdoctoral fellowship, where I gained extensive training in treating OCD in outpatient and intensive outpatient settings.

Through years of training and experience, I have developed effective strategies for treating symptoms of anxiety and stress. While I bring my expertise in psychology into the therapy space, you are the true expert of your life. My role is to walk alongside you, meet you where you are, and offer compassionate, practical skills to help you navigate your specific challenges and accomplish your goals.

I am currently licensed in: New York (027263), Texas (38443),

North Dakota (1000P), and PSYPACT certified (10923)

What I Value

  • I am committed to delivering care that respects and supports your identity, challenges mental health stigma, and advocates for equity in healthcare. I strive to create a safe, affirming, and inclusive space for all—honoring the unique experiences of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color; 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals; people with differing abilities; neurodiverse clients; all body sizes; and anyone navigating the realities of mental illness. You are welcome here, as you are.

  • True healing happens when we meet our emotions with self-compassion and acceptance. My goal in therapy is to provide stability so that you can explore your feelings and learn to sit with them more effectively.

  • Therapy is about more than just coping—it’s about finding strategies to truly thrive in your daily life. Therapy offers practical tools and insights to help you accomplish your specific goals.

  • I value continuous growth and self-discovery and believe in empowering you to reach your full potential through therapy.

  • Life isn’t just about overcoming challenges—it’s about finding joy, connection, and creativity in the everyday moments that make life meaningful.

I love using creativity to help you learn therapy skills in ways that feel engaging and relatable. Whether you’re just beginning or building on what you’ve already learned, I’ll help you recognize how those tools can support you in areas of your life you might not have realized were connected.

  • I value getting to know you, and I am curious about where you have been and where you want to go. I enjoy helping people learn that it is safe to be their authentic selves. Therapy is a safe space to explore who you are without anxiety and stress telling you who you are.

My curiosity doesn’t stop with clients; it drives me to continually seek out the most effective, culturally responsive approaches so I can provide the highest quality care to every person I work with.

I meet each person where they are, acknowledging their lived experience and unique needs. Our work together will reflect your story, culture, and values, helping you thrive as your authentic self.
