I wrote and created this website in Austin, Texas — land stewarded and cherished by Indigenous peoples long before the city's founding. I wish to acknowledge that I made this work on the Indigenous lands of Turtle Island, the original name for what is now known as North America. More specifically, I honor the ancestral homelands of the Alabama-Coushatta, Caddo, Carrizo/Comecrudo, Coahuiltecan, Comanche, Kickapoo, Lipan Apache, Tonkawa, Texas Band of Yaqui, Tigua Pueblo, and Ysleta del Sur Pueblo, as well as all American Indian and Indigenous peoples who have lived on or continue to inhabit the land in and around present-day Austin.
